Close o2 account and transfer number to another o2 contract

Hi, I have signed up to a new contract with O2, I want to close my current O2 account and transfer the old number onto my new contract, how can I do that please.

Thanks for the link, I got a better deals from signing up to a new contract plus cashback so made sense to do it that way, thanks

You need to ask customer service to migrate your old number to the new account, which will end your old account.

You're still paying for it until you do that.

I did a similar thing a year ago, but mobilephonesdirect did the whole thing, as I was already with O2, it breezed through - the cashback have all been paid promptly to-date also. 

 

Still, advice given above to help you get number swapped to the new SIM.

I used a work cashback site rather than the deals mobile phones direct give each month off the contract cost. Thanks for the above.
