Charged twice.

Hi I think I may of been charged twice I paid off a bill via phone and got a ref number etc saying payment successful however follow evening I got a text saying bill over due WTF so I did it again and got a receipt number for this one checked my app and it now says -£63 etc so what do I do to get my money back and what can I do if it comes up again tomorrow I've paid twice already and don't want my phone shut down 😞

Just to let you know your mobile phone bill's overdue by £63.90. To keep using it please call us on 0844 847 1424 to talk about it (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri). Clicked on number got this a couple of days ago I paid it off successfully then go this again today and paid and it went through successfully and noticed my bank account go down ie it appeared I got charged twice has this ever happened before?

Ah poo I'm in work early tomorrow so hopefully I won't get that text again or my phone shut down hope I'll have time to sort it thanks for replies I'll just have to keep trying its a shame they have no email address that would be helpful too 😕

Why don't you have a direct debit set up? You could have avoided all this if you had.

Email link but you are much better speaking to them to be honest. Request the funds to be paid back into your account.

Technically I do however the monthly bill always arrives just before my wages goes in. However they do give you time to collect etc however when that date came oh look I had money in the bank but for some reason they didn't/couldn't take it out so I got text which I thought was weird in the first place. This is the first time I noticed I had a problem mind you its odd now when I used to recieve bills for -£3 something.

Ask 02 to move the Direct Debit date to just after you get paid.

 

This is what I do with all my direct debits.

 

ie : I get my salary paid on the 26th of each month and my direct debits are date set to come out on the 28th of every month.

If you phone o2 on 202 they shod be able to look into your account and find out what happened is why you payed your phone bill two times.
