I've just been charged £0.10 for two international text messages sent three minutes apart to Sweden!

One I've never been to or know anyone in Sweden, and two, I was driving a work van at that time so couldn't possibly have sent them!

I've been charged similar amounts at other times but never noticed them. Does anyone know how I can stop this, and how do I get my £0.10 back!!??

Strange one.

You'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
Or advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:
If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.

A standard sms to Sweden should be 6p anyway, not 10p

....... I might have solved this problem guy's.

Apparently, I sent a text message to a customer about 10 minutes before the recorded times on my phone. The customer lives here, but I've just called her and she say's that she works in Sweden!!

Her phone is still tied to that network obviously and that's why when I text her I got charged £0.10!

It's a pity that you have no way of knowing BEFORE you send the text, her number looks like a normal U.K. one!

If it is a UK number it doesn't matter where it is. You should not be charged.

To text a Swedish number you would have to add 0046 at the start of the number too?

Yes, when it saved to my phone (she text me first) it didn't show that 0046, just the normal phone number. And of course when she text back it just showed her name, so I never actually got to see her full phone number!

Now that I've checked the actual entry in the phone list it does show 0046.

DOH!! I need to make sure I go in the phone book and double check the numbers!
