Changing to pay monthly sim contract

Hi

I’ve paid off my phone and I don’t need a new phone right now.

I’ve seen some good pay monthly sim deals which look better than my airtime bill at the moment. I want to keep the same number. I normally go into the shop for queries and upgrades but they are closed and it says the contact number is for emergencies only. If I change to a sim deal through their website, is there a way I can keep my number?

If I needed to get a new phone whilst on the sim only deal, is there a minimum period before I can go back to a handset contract??

You can UPGRADE to a sim only contact via My O2. If you wanted to get another phone contract you can do that after 3 months

As long as you upgrade you will keep the same number and use the same sim. Everything will be changed on your account which wont affect your number.
