Iphone 7
Apple watch 5 GPRS + Cellular
Both running latest IOS/WatchOS
Iphone carrier settings up to date
Watch is setup and paired OK. When I go into the watch app on the phone to enable Mobile Data I click on Setup Mobile Data. It says "Please waith while the page is loading. This should only take a few seconds to complete" Then a few minutes later it says
"Oops, something went wrong. Try again and if the problem continues call 202 for free from your O2 mobile, quoting reference code 37".
Tried calling 202, they didn't have a clue and have never even heard of reference code 37.
Any ideas? Tried multiple reboots, tried doing the same thing over and over, everytime just the same error screen. From reading how this is MEANT to work it's failing at the point where it should give a logon screen for O2.

You will need to reset the watch and start again.

Do you mean unpair and repair?
Could you give any more info as to why this should work?

Yes, start from scratch and reset the watch back to factory settings. Some help here

OK just did that. Unpaired then repaired. It fails in exactly the same way with exactly the same error.

OK so I have now tried:
Unpairing the watch, repairing and restoring from backup.
Unpairing the watch, resetting and pairing as a new watch.
Also tried setting up mobile data as part of the paring process and seperately after the pairing process and sync are complete.
None of this makes any difference, it still fails with the same error.

Update on this: Tried it this morning and it instantly worked, which makes me think the problem was that the signin page wasn't working. It allowed me to choose the airtime etc etc and all appeared to work up to the final "Activating" at which point it has hung indefinitely.
If I look on the watch it now shows Mobile data as O2 status No Connection.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

You are very lucky Fella,
some of us have been stuck in your original failed loop for over a week now.
I have been told there is a technical problem that o2 are aware of and an incident has been raised.
I’m happy you have had some luck, maybe they will get round to fixing mine too.
