Hi
I have been unable to send or receive text messages since last Tuesday (09/12/20). I have logged an issue with O2 who have acknowledged that there is a network error. I have a Sony Xperia XA1 which is about 2 years old but it still functioning fine. Is anyone else having the same problem? It seems to be taking quite a while for O2 to come up with a solution to whatever the problem is. Does anyone have any further info on what the problem is? I have only had the standard email from O2 which says they are looking into the issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to go into Google Play and update the carrier services app.

this app is set to update automatically so is up to date.

If you have checked for sure you have the latest version, you then need to reboot your phone.

The app was updated on 09/12/20 and the phone has been turned on and off numerous times to no effect. However, I have just turned off and on again just now and everything is now working fine. Thank you very much for your help.

The latest app update is Dec 10th

If it won't update, delete (or reset to factory) and reinstall it as this will give you the latest version.
