I bought a PAYG phone earlier today, and have tried to top up via 4444, and online, but repeatedly tells me there's a problem.
Can I get some help with this asap please, as I'm without a phone and need one.

Doesn't matter, online chat guy said the first top up needs to be done via a e-topup card/voucher.
Really should state that somewhere when you buy the phone, or at least on the website.

Hi @Anonymous
I presume the phone you bought has an O2 sim payg sim in it?
Have you looked at these various ways of topping up?

If you continue to have problems try ringing CS on 4445...(though they will be closed until tomorrow now)

Banking app, atm or off licence are the only ways to top up tonight now.

Cannot call customer services as I have no credit.
It is a cheap non smart phone which I needed until my replacement phone came (lost my usual phone), so it has no apps/internet etc.
I'm trying to use a debit card.
Where do I go to register a card? Cannot find it anywhere.

You can only register a card by calling customer service which you should do once you have credit. I would suggest you go to a retailer and buy a voucher or top up at the ATM for the first top up.

A bit ridiculous though in my opinion. The first top up should actually register the first card. This never used to be an issue...
