Can't stop O2 More Texts

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am getting fed up with texts about O2 More and can't cancel them. Each text says to send stop to 20502, but every time I try, I get message failed. I've used the standard Hangouts SMS app and O2's TU GO app on my Nexus 5 with the same results.

Does anyone have a web link or email address to opt out of these messages? Or will customer services be able to do it?

I'd call cs on 202 and request it.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Ask customer service to stop all marketing texts. I wouldn't bother with live chat though.....

Hi there @Anonymous

These are the ways of canceling O2 more, I can see you have tried one,so I would suggest one of the other methods.

To opt out of O2 More you should visit the O2 More homepage. You can untick the 'opt in' box on the 'Interests' page.

Alternatively you can opt out by sending "STOP" to 20502 via SMS.

It will take up 72 hours to opt out of O2 More from the time you unsubscribe yourself from the homepage.

You will receive a text message to confirm your request to opt out has been received

You can also  update your permissions in My Choices on My O2. Or you  call the IVR on 2220.

Let us know how you get on. Hope this helps. slight_smile

Can you post a link to this please as I've not been able to find it since My O2 was resdesigned?

As the text doesn't work it seems like the More page or customer service are the only options.

Let me login and look around... by the way the 2220 is quite simple to use and will allow you to set up all your marketing preferences slight_smile

Don't think you can edit the marketing preferences on my O2 anymore, at least I dint find it... 😞

As for the O2 more page, can you access it @jonsie ? Dam firewall doesn't like it and there's no link from the website anymore, so I'm wondering if it's working....
