It is in MyO2 I have just tried it http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2
When you log on and click on your phone number...this appears
If you click on More a drop down box appears with MY CHOICES. This is where you untick the relevant marketing preferences
Edited to add a help link about dealing with spam

My problem was that I can't send text messages (e.g. STOP) to 20502 as instructed in the O2 More texts. There must be some limitation on my account as none of: a Nexus 5, my current LG G4 or TU Go (on phone or web) allow me to send to that number.
I've now been onto the My O2 page as suggested above (couldn't navigate my way to the section mentioned on my phone!), and elected to receive nothing, but am not reassured as it's given me the message "We’ve saved your changes. Just sit back and wait for all the O2 news and offers pinging your way." Great.

Yes indeed, it states on the link I gave you that you can't do it from your phone.
Marketing communications
If you don't want us or our partner companies to send you relevant offers or marketing information, you can opt out anytime via your PC in My O2, by clicking on the My Choices link in the My Mobile section. These changes can only be made using your PC - you won't be able to see this option if you are accessing My O2 via the app or the mobile website on your phone.

Surely it's a legal obligation for the STOP text to be honoured? I've sent it 4 times over the last month and still get O2 more texts. And each time I've had the confirmation back that the STOP request has been received.
