I had an old Nokia 8 (for several years) on Virgin and got moved over to O2. Am going to the US in a couple of weeks and upgraded my phone as the IMEI check on my old one said it was not compatible with the new US system. Tried putting my new IMEI into the O2 site and it says the number is not recognised. What does this mean? My newly upgraded phone (Samsung Galaxy AO5s) has settings for both WiFi calling and 4G calling but can't find out if I can use it without the IMEI check. Any help/advice much appreciated!

Last time I changed handsets it took O2 months to catch up.
The IMEI will have no bearing on your roaming provided the phone is compatible, which it is.

Yes as long as you have 4G calling enabled on your account you should be able to use your phone in the US... and only on Pay Monthly it is not available on PAYG
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
