Hi @Anniedog - Calling or texting any country (even within O2's Europe Zone) from the UK, is classed as an international call or text, and will be charged at standard international rates. You can make calls to international mobiles and landlines from just 1p per minute with O2's International Bolt On.

You could try to get the person you are calling to use WhatsApp, then voice calls between two WhatsApp users use your data or WiFi, no additional cost.
