I am due to be working in Spain for about two months. Does any one know for how long l can continuously use my O2 phone for roaming before having to come back to UK

63 days (ish) in any 180 day period, you can keep using it outside of this, but you will be charged at the standard roaming rates. 

So you would technically need to be in the UK for over 100 days for the timescales to reset. 

Your best option is to get your employer to provide a sim card, and pick up the costs.
