Hopefully a quick question, if you're on a tarriff which includes the roaming in 75 countries including the USA should this show as a bolt on?

Re: Bolt Ons - O2 Travel

Just be aware data in USA is throttled to 0.5mbs.
Which is very slow indeed.

Indeed it is throttled @ActonDave . Normally we advise getting your phone unlocked (if it isn't already) and using a Three sim, or buy a local sim when you get to the US.

Re: Bolt Ons - O2 Travel

I’m in the US right now and can’t believe that O2 can’t offer me normal data locally at the same speed as EE (my wife’s provider). Not at any price. I left EE to join O2 when they said I could roam in 75 countries. Their )online chat) tech advisor just told me I can only get 50mb a day in USA at 0.47mbs.

@ActonDave

You get 150mb a day at unrestricted speeds, after that, it is unlimited data at a throttled 0.5mbps

Re: Bolt Ons - O2 Travel

That’s not what the techie “Sohail” said to me today. I have a screenshot of the chat:

hi David, while roaming in USA your daily allowance is 50mb only. once this is reached then data will become very slow or even stops working until the next date. ...
