Bill payment taken early, due payment not touched.

Anonymous
Not applicable

The subject title may seem confusing, so I'll try to elaborate.

I have two phones on my account, my partners and my own. My bill is due to be paid a day before my partners is, yet today (strangely on a sunday) I notice that my partners bill has been taken out today, when it was due tomorrow. My own bill, which was due to be taken today, has not been touched.

Normally not a problem. Though by taking out my partners balance first, it has thrown my account into deficit, again. The payment for my own account had been sat there for over a week, with my partners payment to be credited into my account when the BACS system credits her own bank account (usually around 2:30am on a Monday) therefore making sure both bills are paid at the appropriate time and date.

Can someone enlighten me as to why the second phones payment was taken a day early, and why my own bill payment hasn't been touched?

I sincerely hope my own bill didn't get rejected by the bank, because this will result in a failed direct debit payment charge due to the second phones bill being taken earlier than stipulated...
