i was given a new mobile for xmas. As im not very technical I was hoping to just use my sim card from old phone as i am quite happy with tarrif etc. But new phone needed a new small one. I chatted with a guru on here requesting a small sim card but wished to keep my number & tarrif. Was told no problem it would be sent all i had to do was use sim card & top up.I now have a new number and a Big Talker tarrif (no good to me as my family/friends are on other networks AND i use daily data within 10mins.  NOT HAPPY

Hi @Anonymous

You were obviously ill advised by the online chat service as you have ended up with a tariff you don't want.

You need to call O2 Customer Services on 4445 (free call) and explain the problem. They will switch the tariff for you.

Here are a list of pay and go tariffs for you to look at

http://www.o2.co.uk/tariffs/payandgo

You could also look at changing this yourself by accessing My O2 (if you dont want to phone to speak to an advisor) http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Hi @Anonymous

Does your original SIM card still work with your original number and tariff ?

If so all you need to do is visit a O2 high street shop ,and ask them to perform a sim swap which moves your original tariff and number from the original SIM card to the new sized one.

I'm guessing all the live chat person is done is send you a new Payg SIM card which is a new account ,which is why you have another mobile number. If they had swapped you over to a new tariff you would still have retained your original mobile number.

If they have taken you off your current tariff and as the one you may have been on could be dis continued it may be now unavailable. Customer services as indicated will advise.

The new one you could choose is Big Bundle at £10 or £20 which can also be chosen by dialing 4444

If your old sim is still working in your old phone you can sim swap yourself here http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/
