Banstead SM7 Signal

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I have just moved to the area, and there has been a noticeable drop in the quality of my signal since I moved here - with frequent dropped calls. I never have more than 2 bars of signal, and often very limited internet.

It only seems to be within 20 metres either side of my house (including inside) - beyond this, the signal improves.

Can you confirm if this is a known issue (no mention of it when i looked on your service status page) - my full post code is SM7 2QE.

Many thanks,

Chris Storey.

Every network has blackspots - it may be that you are just unlucky with the location of your property or that something is blocking the signal....

As it is outside where you are losing coverage too you can check the mast location nearest to you here and check if there are any obstructions between you and the mast....

Edit: O2's mast is site number 5285 and is located Just off Banstead Road by the Railway Station.

Hi all  - thanks for the help, this is very informative.

The short row of houses we live in, have similar issues with the other big networks too - who have masts in the same area as the O2 mast. There must be something wrong in that area, something blocking the signal.

I have raised the issues through the Ofcom website ... will see if anything happens.
