Just upgraded my device to the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and went to apply my company O2 Open discount which I used on my last plan. Apparently, even though the discount applies to airtime only, the 14 pro is not part of this yet. I see from old posts that there is sometimes a delay in it becoming eligible until stock levels are consistent within O2, however; this device was launched September last year.
is there any guidance from O2 when this may be eligible as I am currently within the 28 days within which I must apply this discount.

Timescales depend on free flowing stock of the device which isn't going to happen anytime soon with the 14 due to Apple manufacturing constraints.

Thanks for the reply. I thought as the device seemed to be in stock most places that it would now be classed as free flowing. Appreciate that this may not be the case.
other approach then… I currently have two devices on my account. The second one, my wife’s phone, receives a second line discount. Can I change my new contract to be the second line so I move the discount from wife’s device to mine, then when I upgrade hers to a “O2 Open eligible device” I can apply the o2 open discount to that number instead. Therefore achieving the same result as I had before upgrade? Hope that makes sense.

The oldest contract will always be the first line and cannot be changed.
