Generally not able to do that, whilst upgrade in progress.

Your best bet is to contact O2 and ask them. All numbers in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

But not during a tariff change @seewhatyoucando  as I said above. The op would need to call O2.

A bolt on isn’t plan dependent, (unless reoccurring & pro rata applies), now we are going back many many years since I dealt with o2 but you used to be able to add it at anytime in the billing month, has this now changed?

Adding a Bolt On to increase data whilst a billing date/plan change activated wasn’t a problem.

It appears to have changed now @seewhatyoucando

Going on evidence of many others who have posted on here with the same issue. Apparently O2 need to override the system.

No idea why, just repeating info given to others. ie if you are in the middle of a tariff change, you are unable to add a bolt on.

@Cleoriff

Maybe when they brought in the o2 Refresh plans ??

Pathetic really causing a lot of work and cost versus tweaking a little bit of code in the customer facing platform where customers can buy a Bolt On online like they normally can’t.

O2 has obviously gone way downhill, which would match my experience with customer care, there is a few gems in there but the balance of that needs to be the other spectrum. Only 3 years till Capita lose their contract.
