4G LTE Euro roaming

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I've had a search around and can't see any info on this subject. Does anyone know if the O2 4G capability will roam into other Euro countries and if the European £1.50 flat fee system will still apply to my account?

It was fine on 3G but I don't know if 02/Telefonica have LTE/4G partners in other European countries as yet? I travel to Paris a lot so this would be useful to know.

Cheers

Neil

afaik the 4G is only available in the UK.
You will roam on 3G.

O2 is stuck in the dark ages. This post was started in 2013,now it's 2017 and still no 4G roaming. It's pathetic. My company just moved to O2 from EE and its like going back to 1993! And this is not just a nice to have. Most 3G networks around the world have ground to a halt you need 4G to get any sensible data connection. I expect O2 will make some excited announcement about 4G roaming in 2020 when we're all on 5G! Zzzzzzzzz

Not impressed then eh? But you're probably right.
They thought they were doing us a favour with unlimited data on O2 Travel bolt on until we tried to use it!
I use a Three sim when travelling for data which gives me all I need at decent enough speeds or a local sim when in France as I'm there more often than other EU countries.
