Hi caza30 and Welcome to the forum.

The iPhone 5c takes a Nano SIM card.

The iPhone 4s takes a Micro SIM card.

You just need to make sure the SIM card is the right size to fit into the relevant iPhone.

This is achieved by performing the SwapmySim procedure via http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk ,which moves your tariff and mobile number from one sized SIM card to another.

A contract / Payg O2 SIM card will work in any phone either locked to O2 or unlocked.

You have a few of options.

Pop into your local O2 shop and they will transfer the tariff and mobile number to the new correct sized one.

Or Ring Customer services or speak to Online Live Chat http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus ,and they'll post you one and use this link when you receive it to transfer the tariff and mobile number yourself -http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

Be sure to ask for the correct account type of blank SIM card. Ie: Contract or Payg as they hold different info on them.

It takes from a few minutes to approximately 24 hours to fully settle. Once the original SIM card loses service then keep turning Airplane Mode on and off or turn the phone off and on.

Also O2 shops have SIM card adapters which are free and are designed to make a nano sized SIM card into a micro sim or standard SIM card.

To return the iPhone 4s to Factory Settings.

Settings - General - Reset -Erase All Contents and Settings

When you both insert the sims in the iPhones you should get all the necessary set up text messages , however here is a good help link on this -

Enjoy your new phone. 😄

You're Welcome Carol.

I hope you enjoy your new iPhone.

Be ready to check if its iOS needs updating.

I'd make a back up to iCloud and or iTunes before updating your new phones firmware.

Take care.
