02 Switch up Preorder and promotions

I have 02 switch up which I took out last January when I got the s23 ultra. I'm planning to switch up to the s24 ultra.

I assume I can go into store and the switch up works with preorders?

Yes, you need to pay a £50 deposit in store to pre order.

Perfect I thought this was the case but someone told me you can do pre orders on the switch up.
