Transferring number to o2 from Orange

Anonymous
Not applicable

This should have been completed by 1800 today, but not complete 5 hours later.

Any outgoing calls and texts (from o2 phone) have new number attached, but if you ring or text the number from another number, it still goes to orange.

Both phones were still on at 1800, orange now removed for around an hour. The o2 SIM has been taken out and replaced twice to no avail.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Peter

There are often reports here of transfers from Orange being slow, if it doesn't work in a day or so contact them again.

It can take upto 24 hours to fully port over. The fact that your Orange SIM has deactivated is a good sign, and yes, any problems always seem to be porting from Orange for some reason.....

I'd only removed the orange sim. Just plugged back in and it's still active 😞

That's not a good sign then. The port can't work until Orange turn off your old SIM.

Just spoke to Orange who initially blamed o2 but eventually promised the port by 4pm.

What's the odds?

Orange always blame O2 and O2 always blame Orange, but we see it regularly with Orange numbers so you can make your own assumptions as to who is at fault (all other networks port OK without issues ;)).
