@yrrabb2 How long has it been since you took out the contract? If it's been longer than 14 days, I think you're out of luck.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

How to cancel here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/hig...
You can cancel for free and move to PAYG if you have completed your minimum term.
To do so, call customer services on 202 and they will transfer you to PAYG with the same phone number you have now.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

Are you thinking of cancelling a contract ? If so info here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/ba-p/566774#M56526

if you are within the 14 days cooling off period use the change of mind info here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/our-change-of-mind-policy

You could then ask for a new sim for PAYG

Easy enough to keep your number https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

If you haven’t completed your minimum term then you can also pay off what’s left on the contract

I FOUND O2'S MANAGERS/ ONLINE TO BE CORPORATE PARROTS WHO CAN'T DO ANYTHING EXCEPT SPOUT OUT STUFF FROM A SCRIPT. THEY WON'T HELP AT ALL IF YOU QUERY A BILL AND LEAVE YOU NO CHOICE BUT TO USE THIER OWN DUBIOUS COMPLAINTS 'PROCEDURE' BEFORE YOU CAN GO TO OFCOM. I'M CURRENTLY IN THIS TEDIOUS PROCESS AND WILL UPDATE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED.

Hi @yrrabb2 I'm sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with this. 😞 If you've already opened a complaint then it's best to wait for the resolution to that. If you haven't heard anything though please do feel free to drop me a PM here on the forum so we can discuss further.
