I'm on Classic pay and you go, as I don't make many calls. I've just got  a new phone which needs a micro or nano sim card, but my current sim card is standard size. Can I get a new sim card but keep my old number on Classic pay as you go tariff rates?

@ChrisJackson

If you can't get through, just order any free payg sim from here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/pay-as-you-go and do a sim swap from your old sim when the new one arrives Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

The swap will transfer your number, tariff and credit to the new sim card.

First check if you can convert your current sim card to save time.

Unfortunately it's a very old sim card, so pop-out conversion is not possible. I'll try phoning and asking for a new sim, as masdaf1sh suggests.

Thanks, MI5. I'll do it online and then do a sim swap. I'll post success or otherwise here in due course.
