I'm having trouble receiving calls but my phone doesn't seem to have call blocking so I don't know why. It's been weird for a while, some calls are fine like from friends and family, but others (like the dwp and GP practice - so like important) almost impossible to have a proper call - either it cuts out as soon as I answer it; or the quality is awful; or the call doesn't even come through at all and I get a voicemail without having a "missed call"! (How does that work?!) It's not a signal issue (though seems to be affected by signal a bit, like sometimes if I move around it gets better, hence I thought it was just bad signal for ages) - my family have no problems calling from the same places, and I can text and stuff. Had a call with a friend for nearly an hour the other day, quality wasn't great but passable but none of the problems I've mentioned. It seems to be important official stuff that gets messed up but as I say I don't think there are blocks set up. My phonemis very basic, an Alcatel, but still there seems to be something weird going on beyond just having a ratchety phone.
Urgently need the problem solved this week because I am meant to have a PIP assessment and they haven't been able to call me. Missd my first assessment as the call cut out.
Please help!!! Thank you. Please don't advise me to ring up, obviously this would probably be better and I will if I have to but 1) see above issue with calling and 2) I have chronic fatigue and calls are really tiring
