After renewing my phone contract I received text message from phone no +447771125799 saying payment for latest bill could not be processed and asking me to update payment info to 

[mod edit: removed to ensure safety] obviously i did not do this suspecting a scam am I right if so are there any issues with security at 02

Block the number and do not follow any links.

Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

I also received a Text from 07384380387 on Monday 24/08

02: Payment for your latesrt bill could not be processed by your bank. Please update your payment information via:

https//02-billing.ref-102.com?o2=2

 

I have ignored this message as I think it is a scam.

 

I don't seem to be able to forward the text to 7720

It is a scam as we know all too well.

You need to forward text to 7726 for O2 to investigate it.
