I bought a 12 month sim from O2. After 2 months they cannot port my number. I just get told the same scripted response. 'We will get back to you in 5 days'.

Nobody ever gets back. I have not had any phone calls or contact. I have to contact them. Such utterly disgusting customer service.

Im not using the O2 sim as i need my number for personal reasons. So now i am paying for 2 sims. Is O2 in breach of contract therefore i can cancel or will they hit me with termination fees? Event though they have been utterly useless.

Is the account the number is currently on up to date (ie, no outstanding payments) @Obi1 ?
Who is the number held by currently, as porting normally means moving a number from one provider (eg EE) to another (eg o2)?

Have you followed the process in the porting guide - Guide: Migration & porting into O2 ?

How are you talking to o2? Hopefully not on live chat - try using the links in the contact guide to get in touch on social media:

Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

@Obi1 To add to the advice from @gmarkj, a PAC is only valid for 30 days. If two months have passed, the PAC you gave to O2 would have expired. You would need to get a new PAC from your previous provider.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
