PAYG - swap to nano sim

i have an old sim that does not fit my new phone.

logged in online portal and ordered swap sim - never arrived

bought a new nano sim from the corner shop,
txt swap to 20220, got security code, texted back, then texted 13-digit SIM serial number, got message back All done. but the new nano sim is still not working 😫😩
