Hi there , I'm abroad and I'm not able to place a call or get connected , I can only use data and I've managed to call on one or two occasions only   . Could you look at this matter please I don't feel safe driving far away from home and not been able to get connected .

@Greg3

We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here.

Phone O2 from abroad. The number is free

From abroad+44 7860 980 202Free†

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

Other things to try'

             Make sure data roaming and mobile data is turned on in your phone's settings.

          * Manually search for another network

           * Try toggling Airplane mode on/off (it often helps kickstart things)

           * Drop down to 3G and see if that helps.

           * Contact O2 to see if there are any roaming bars on the account

As you say you can use data and not make calls I'm wondering where you are. A number of countries have either totally closed or are in the process of closing down 3G services. PAYG phones can't make calls over 4G at present. Technically the phone should drop to 2G but even that is not always possible.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Greg3 If you don't have it already, download WhatsApp and email the people you want to call to get the app as well. You can then call, text, and video call anyone else who has the app over a WiFi connection for free.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
