Hi,
After some advice - placed 2no. orders via Mobile Phones Direct for phones on O2 contracts. Unfortunatley they were set-up on the incorrect contracts. Called and cancelled as soon as mistake noticed but one phone had already been dispatched.
The disptached phone was requested Return to Sender and MPD set-up two new orders for me. One of the new orders went through but the other was declined by O2. MPD tried again but declined by O2.
They believe the issue was the dispatched phone was still showing as a contract with O2, therefore meaning I already had two contracts and O2 would not allow a third. They advised to wait until dispatched phone was retuned and associated contract cancelled.
Dispatched phone has now been reutned and contract cancelled (confirmed by O2). However tried to place a new contract and again declined.
My credit history is perfect with no issues - I can only assume that the repeat contract applications following the initial two incorrectly placed ones has caused O2 to decline.
Going to call the credit agency involved Monday to discuss - has anyone had this issue before?, can it be resolved?, do I have to wait a set time for the seaches to become insignificant.
Any advice welcome
Chris

Thanks for quick reply. All the orders before cancellation were between 25th November and 2nd December. One order attempted today as contract was cancelled on 3rd December, but declined.
Will leave it a couple of weeks before I try again - hopefully credit agency may have a defined period.

I'm afraid its not a credit reference agency who set a defined period, but the business you have applied too.
Credit referrals as well may take upto 10 days to come back to you.
I would wait a couple of months, as your credit report will be updated with Hard Credit Checks, rather than soft checks, which companies don't see.
Also remember a perfect credit score doesnt guarantee credit with anyone.
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
