Can't make or receive calls when I'm at work

Hello all, I was hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I am having. So basically, if I  am in or around my work building and call someone or someone tries to call me, all my signal and internet just drops and I've either got to reset my phone or toggle airplane mode on and off just to get my 4G/5G back. Anywhere else, it works absolutely fine, it's just at my place of work. I find it strange that it's only at work and the O2 coverage at my workplace seems to be fine. I have reset my network settings on my phone but that hasn't solved my issue unfortunately. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Indeed. I had just noticed that and was coming back to say the any reference to 5g or wifi calling is irrelevant.

Although @ElSturge does mention the use of 5g so maybe posted in the wrong section?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Possibly. O2's PAYG and 5G plans are unclear, unless negotiations with Talk Talk for their recently-created TT Consumer arm are the way things will go... 🤷

So to clarify. I am a PAYG customer, have been since I was about 12 with the same number my entire life 🤣 I don't use the 5G on my phone, I set the preferred Network to 4G.

No WiFi Calling.

Also your phone will need to drop to 3G to make and receive calls as PAYG does not have the ability to use 4G for calls

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

That makes sense, still strange to me how I can make and receive calls anywhere else except from my workplace.

Just poor 3G signal at your workplace.

Not much you can do there and O2 won't be doing anything as they are phasing out 3G sometime in 2025

As O2 are switching off the 3G signal in 2025 @Enlli, that would seem to be effectively the end of useful PAYG on O2 unless there is a significant change of policy. 🤔
