I have had an O2 payg sim in my mobile hotspot unit which i use when i go to France, to use with my laptop for emails and occassional internet search. I have used it since last November 2020, i tried it today as i am goinf to France 7th September and find my account has been frozen even though i still had credit on it. WHY?

If you mean you HAVEN'T used it since Nov 2020 then it might have been disconnected - we recommend using them at least once every 6 months and topping up every 999 days to keep it active @Collieman.
Try calling customer services to see if they can get you back working - there are some numbers in the two guides below along with hints on how to get through.
