activation lock

Hi

I have recently swapped my very old iphone for my sons not so old iphone SE.  I've now managed to swap over the SIM but my next problem is the activation lock.  I thought I could pop in my sons previous sim, so that I could switch off the "find my phone " feature but.... he's thrown it out!  Any suggestions on how I can re-active and continue with the set up process would be gratefully received,
