When will My Mobile's new number be Up and running

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Been getting alot of nuisence calls latley so I called up o2 and requested a new number. So far they have blocked my phone, it cannot make/receive calls of any kind (it dails for about 2 seconds and then says 'Out of service area')

I can't even call up 202 for the same reason. When I requested a new number they did not charge me and said it would take 24 hours for the new number to be effective. Have I missed something or is this a fault at 02's end?

Need help with this ASAP!!!

I'm not sure why they have blocked the phone, normally they just disconnect the number and reprovision with a new number. Use chat and find out the status of your account.

Also keep rebooting your phone at regular intervals until it re-registers on the network.

Click on "contact us" at the bottom of the page and wait for Live Chat window to appear. Then get CS to check your account.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Out of interest they only allow one free change if you need another you will have to pay for it and I think it's £35.
