You say we can swap a SIM card.

I have a small SIM card in my current phone, but I have bought a new phone which needs a nano SIM card. My small SIM card has within it a Nano card. Can I pop that out and use it in the new phone? Will this work? Will it affect my pay monthly contract? Will I have to separately transfer contacts and all the other stuff on my older phone?

Yes, just pop the little bit out of the middle and use it.
You'll need to backup your old phone and transfer all the content to your new one manually.

Thank you for your advice.

When I look in Settings on my Phone I can't find the word 'Sync' anywhere.

I have several Apps. Which accounts do I need to Sync, and how do I find this?

Just make sure everything is backed up to your google account and it will sync automatically when you sign in on new phone.

I have popped out the nano SIM and put it in the new phone. Google transferred my apps and pictures. But O2 seem to think it is still fairphone 2. Will this affect my Pay Monthly account?

Nothing to worry about at all.

It should update eventually but won't make any difference at all to your service.
