Seriously fed up with O2

Anonymous
Not applicable

I spent all day Saturday trying to phone (via 202 on my O2 mobile), after being on hold for 40 minutes the call was dropped. Same thing happened today (Monday) but the call was dropped after 6 minutes.

I bought an LG Spirit phone on Saturday, no wall plug for charging. Went back to the O2 shop today, to be told LG don't supply the plugs and instead O2 sell them. LG claim they do supply them.

Okay, so who is LYING to me???

No email address to contact o2 on the web site, "Live Chat" busy all day Saturday and again today (Monday). This is customer service at its worse.

Anyone got a recommendation for a mobile phone network where they value their customers? I know Vodaphone are even worse, so forget them.

@Anonymous unfortunately loyalty stands for nothing these days with big business... It's all about churn, and they've obviously got plenty of that, otherwise things would change.

All we can advise is that you persevere trying to call cs, the best time to do this is 8:30am when they open as that's the least busy time.

I've been fortunate to get through to cs within 15mins at the most each time I've called, and almost immediately at 8:30am...

Good luck, I hope you manage to resolve your issues. Btw, is there anything us fellow customers can help you with? We obviously don't have access to your account, but there's a tonne of knowledge on these here fora..

Years ago when I had O2 Broadband I remember the customer service was second to none - luckily I haven't had to use CS recently with my phone but it does sound like it's gone downhill. Of course it's all about saving money, but when will companies realise that good CS is what people look for - it often is the difference betweem choosing and not choosing a company.

Obviously, if they are taking chargers from the box it begs the question, just what do they do with them? Sell them possibly and landfill the literally hundreds they must have collected over the last couple of years....

Call them and tell them you want one!

Funny thing is, I've never NOT had a charger in the box with my phone...

The wife's htc one m7 was missing a charger but all my xperias, and both my Samsungs, my Gear S all came with a power adapter.

Is it only certain brands?

My SP didn't have a charger (would have been a better phone if I hadn't charged it either) and the Sammys have them because they are required for adaptive fast charge - special chargers innit wink

But are they taking them out of the box, instructing manufacturers to do so, giving them away to staff, putting them in Christmas crackers or filling in the '4000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire ' as the song goes Don't know

They didn't remove it from the SP box - there was no space for a charger so they must have left the factory like it.

Yeah, the HTC one box from O2 was much smaller, no room for a charger.

Well damn good job my Note 3 came with a charger as it was quite unique. No other charger I had would have fitted. Thinking about it though.... the Note never came from O2...:smileywink:

Yes I am having the same trouble too, 45 mins with phone on loud speaker, live chat busy and cannot email them, they are hopeless, I have gone into Tesco and spoken to an Agent there he was so helpful, easy parking, can do shopping and have a coffee, whilst I was talking to him other customers came in and he immediatley called another agent to serve them. I asked how easy it was to contact them, he gave me a card and when I got home I thought I would test it after 10 rings I got an answer. I hve just managed to get through for my PAC code and the young lady I spoke to (Anna) was helpful apologetic and charming her customer service was A1.
