Retrieving messages

I need to retrieve messages from my iphone 5s that have been deleted. Can you help?

Hi,

Once text messages have been deleted, they are usually permanently deleted unless you have a backup on the iCloud.

You can check this by doing the following: -

-Settings

- Tap your name to access your Apple ID options.

- Tap iCloud

- Tap Manage Storage

- Tap Backups

Once tapped you will see a list of backups from different devices. If you tap an individual backup it will tell you the date the backup was completed.

If you find a suitable backup the only way to restore the backup is to fully reset the phone and set it up again selecting restore from iCloud. Please note you will need to know your iCloud username and password and have access to another Apple device if Two Factor authentication is switched on.
