Possible Scam

Both myself and my wife have been contacted this afternoon by some insistent call handlers claiming to represent O2 and offering us 30% discounts on our monthly call plans.

They didn't use our names, and we did not provide any information when requested. The phone numbers claimed to be in the Manchester and Blackburn areas.

Can you confirm this was a scam?

Many Thanks

100% scam @Wonnie .

o2 will NOT phone you up and offer a discount.

The scammer will be trying to get you to hand over a code that allows them to reset your account so they can change your address and/or order a new phone and sim.

The message tells you not to give the code out to anyone, but they hope to convince you otherwise.
