Ordered an accessory, got an email an hour later saying it's out of stock but they've taken my payment regardless. It says on the email to check the status of my order at My o2 but there's nothing visible there.
What am I supposed to do about this?

This doesn't really help me as it's nothing to do with a contract or pay as you go, and i'm not an o2 customer

If you purchased anything off O2 you are an O2 customer, maybe not phone contract, but customer all the same.
We are all customers here so all we can do is point you in the direction of O2
