How on earth do I stop unwanted texts/emails for marketing? I've been with O2 for many years but was recently text about marketing preferences but there is no way I can see in the preference screen where I can say NO marketing. It seems you have to have at least one to activate 'Save' button-I don't want any! I've also looked everywhere on this site - O2's but nothing.

Other than phoning/ombudsman - I want to email - there's nothing!

Can anyone help please? Thanks

Well ...as this has happened again when they updated the site, they obviously HAVE changed them. This is the first time I have undertaken this long winded process to check mine....and they have changed (as if by damn magic)!!

I'm sure they will deny it again though.
It appears they can't be trusted with anything anymore.
Maybe the ICO should be made aware this time.

I still cannot access my marketing preferences even though I was told the issue was being fixed. I would upload a screenshot but have no idea how to do that

The blooming cheek of it! I've just been paying my O2 monthly bills which are done by dd, so haven't had any need to come onto this site or contact them as have my own phone so sim only. It's happened since being contacted by them about their site changes and judging by your kind replies, O2 seem to have things changing without customers knowledge-not good.

thanks for all your responses-greatly appreciated and very helpful.

They've done it to us before @pam although as you can see above, they lie and deny it.

Actually @pam I thank you for posting today. If you hadn't I wouldn't have faffed about checking my preferences. So you have done us a favour really....:smileywink:

Reading this thread and a message from @Cleoriff I just checked and all four were ticked. What the hell? I'm guessing when they introduced the new data privacy and 6 digit pin code, they reset everyone's preferences to the default of every box ticked. This is serious @Marjo
