Hi @DoKtoR
To call a United Kingdom landline or mobile phone from Greece, dial 00 44, then the UK number without its leading zero. For example, the UK number 01632 234567 should be dialled as 00 44 1632 234567 from Greece.
Or better still make sure you are calling your contacts from the contact list on your phone. That works better than dialling a number manually.
If none of the above works then get in touch with customer services https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
to make sure you have no international roaming bar on your phone.
Best of luck and welcome to the forum

However if the number you want to call is already in your phone's contact list, dialling from that will automatically be converted by the network. (as it did when I was calling home from Spain)

Yes Adam, pretty much confirming that calls made from your own contacts list work as usual, which is what I said above...so we are speaking with the same voice here.
I always found if I tried to dial a number manually when abroad I got the message 'This number has not been assigned'
Even when abroad and calling friends who lived in that country, generally only worked if they were added to my contacts list on my phone

@Bambino wrote:If the OP wants to make the call manually, instead of 0044 as the prefix they could also try +44. That's how my UK numbers are stored in my contacts.
And if you do that and change all your numbers in your contacts to +,44 without the first 0 for UK, +30 for greek number, +1 for the USA and so on your phone will happily connect with your intended callee from anywhere in the world . Tho this only works on mobiles on the GSM networks.
