I’m being sent to iPhones and phone plans I didn’t ask for

so happen was the other day I got called by O2 and they were saying there was an issue with my tariff or number Anyway, basically they’re just saying that I can get my same bill but cheaper with this new discount. I said sure that sounds like a good deal so I went with them near the end. The guy asked me if I want a new phone and a new plan I said no, but now I’m being sent to phones with corresponding phone plans and numbers

If you think you’ve been the victim of fraud – whether it’s because you’ve given details to someone over the phone, or clicked on a link in a suspicious text or email there are things you can do:
Contact your bank if you think you may have given out financial information. They can help protect your account and stop transactions.
Change your account and online account passwords. Not just your O2 account. All of them.
Forward fraudulent texts to O2 for free on 7726.
Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
Call your Virgin Media or O2 customer services number if you think somebody’s taken out a contract using your details.
Virgin Media customers can phone 150 from their landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.
O2 customers can call 202 from their O2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone.
You can block the number that called you, or any number you think may be suspicious.

Do not return the phones until you have spoken to customer service on 202

Definitely a scam so don't speak to anyone only 202

O2 rarely, if ever, call - and cold-calling to offer an upgrade is definitely not something they do (perhaps with the exception of Aerial Direct, who pressure-sell Business contracts, which are excluded from the 14-day cooling-off period).

It sounds very much like you have been taken for a ride, and you need to block all avenues the scammers may have access to now your details have been compromised.

O2 don't call offering discounts on tariffs. What you describe has all the hallmarks of a scam we see here almost every week

Please take the advice offered

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Honestly you have 100% been scammed.

Listen to what advice you have been given and act on it.
