Hi I was wondering if anyone has received a call from 03333216022 they said they were from o2 and that they will clear my outstanding balance I have on device plan (3 payments left)this ends 27th December and that I could upgrade today to the iPhone 14 pro or pro max ,she knew I had an iPhone 8 and that I paid an extra fee on top of bill for Spotify ,asked if other members of house had pay as you go or pay monthly sims as she could add in extra sims on my plan, a bit confused as I’ve never had a call from o2 since I started my contract in 2019

If you check out the number on Who Called Me https://who-called.co.uk/Number/03333216022 , they are in no doubt it's a bank scam or a call impersonating O2. Block the number.

I had a call from the same number with the same talk about I can have an upgrade.. I googled the number whilst on the phone and this article came up so I hung up and blocked ASAP. Very scammy however I feel so nervous that he had every detail about me! my name/contract/model of phone etc. I have changed all of my passwords and im now on the phone to o2 to confirm what's happened.

to update, it was o2 marketing.. I felt uncomfortable with the calls so I have unsubscribed from marketing and will reach out myself if I want an upgrade.

How are they still using this number? All offered information almost but not quite there. Luckily, I didn't give away anything important. Blocked and reported.

Because OfCom are a toothless regulator and enforcer of the rules..
Best thing is to keep reporting to o2, as they pass all these to the enforcement team at OfCom
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
