I purchased a pair of Airpods last week and despite the money being taken out of my account and a promised delivery date of the 8th November, nothing has arrived.
I contacted O2 Customer services and they said that the order is stuck in processing and the reason why is because I don't have an O2 mobile contract?! Urm...... what? That's the first time I've heard of an online shop only being open to people on O2 mobile contracts - can anyone confirm / deny this? There is nothing online which suggests this. If it is true, then it is a terrible business model!
The only option they could give was to refund the item (which apparently will take up to 7 days....).

Complete rubbish @stephenhilldfc
If you search the forum you will see it's O2#s useless systems with many others who have orders stuck in processing and nothing to do with an O2 phone number.

To buy online with credit from o2, it does help to be an o2 customer, but it isn't 100% necessary..
TBH, I would cancel and order from another retailer, who also offers credit facilities

Thought that would be the case @MI5. If it's any further confirmation, after cancelling my order via customer services, I then returned to the O2 shop and ordered the same pair of airpods but this time selected the 'click and collect' option. Within a hour I received confirmation that the airpods were ready to collect, and I collected them without any issue.
The only annoying thing is that I know need to wait 7 days for my original order to be refunded...

Good luck @stephenhilldfc
Refunds are another black hole with O2 🙄
