Cannot get my name corrected

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have called O2 five times now since early August asking that they correct my name on my online account.  Five calls and still not done. Each time I am assured it will be done then nothing! Very annoyed now. Is there anyone, anyone at all out there reading this that can get this done for me?????

Clearly this is not my mistake as I do know how to spell my own name. Smiley Mad

Is there anywhere on the O2 web site anything to confirm this Pablo, or are only O2 staff privy to this information?

It's fairly standard practice. My bank insists on written requests for spelling mistakes to be rectified whether it's the customer's or the bank's error. I had to send documentary evidence to a Utility company who got my name wrong.

But you are right, I think it should be made clear somewhere on change of details page.

Hi jonsie

I get the need for a written request, it's the address for the department, where did that come from?

I'm sure it's not on this site.

ps Pablo double posted while I was typing that.

No the address is a new one on me and again should be readily available for everyone. Shouldn't be too hard to make it clear on the website.

I have to change my title ... I am down as a "Mr" :slight_frown:  It doesn't bother me too much, but it would be nice to be able to just change the title without having to write :slight_frown:

It would be too much of a security risk to let people edit their own account details.
