Does anybody know why call waiting doesn't notify me with a beep if it is an O2 number trying to call me, instead I get a text message from that person trying to call me saying I have had a missed call from them. Any other network number trying to call me will activate the beep and the usual options are there, just not O2 to O2. This is not just me, a few of my friends have noticed this too, all O2 customers themselves.
Its not good, I have missed a few calls because of this & been in trouble in work.
Solutions are very welcome & I thank you all in advance.

As this is happening to other O2 users as well, I'd guess it's more likely to be an O2 call routing issue?

I have the same issues and it doesn't seem the Customer Services know what they are doing. I've both called them and spoke on the app via chat. It's now weeks since I've reported this and I'm trying to sort it.
Did any of you found a solution?

I once rang 02 about using Call Waiting and they told me it wasn't a service 02 provided.
Maybe it has changed policy since? If Call Waiting is now available does anyone know how much it costs to use it?
Can I use it on basic button mobiles as well as smartphones?
