Advice on split port from Vodafone to O2

Attempting to port a number from Vodafone to O2.  The number is showing as left Vodafone but inbound calls only reach the old Vodafone SIM card.  Outbound calls from both the old Vodafone SIM card and new O2 SIM card display the same mobile number.

No-one at O2 seems to know what to do and Vodafone advise they can't help as the number has already left them.

Any suggestions on the best way to resolve this please and hopefully avoid several more hours on the phone to O2.

Many thanks

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. if you send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), or you can call 202 from your o2 phone

You need to tell the agent at o2 to pass it to the porting team, to get Vodafone to fix the issue, as it will be the routing table connected to your account that needs changing, bare in mind porting issues can take upto 14 days to resolve depending on the donor network..

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Hi, can I ask did you get this solved? I’ve moved from Sky Mobile to O2, I can use my new o2

sim with my old number apart from not being able to receive calls or text from other people using the o2 network (sky/tesco as well etc) but all the services are still active on my old Sky sim?

same with you nobody on o2 chat seems to know what’s happening and sky don’t seem to want to help saying I have to speak to o2.

@Megc80 Not surprised you didn't get far with chat, they are the proverbial chocolate tea pot

Use social media

Message O2 on

 (Facebook) (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB)

X (Twitter) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or

Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) ,

They should be able to help you.

Or phone 202 from your handset

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
