4G/Wi-Fi calling on O2

Have new S9+ on O2 network, bought thru Carphone Warehouse, but phone does not have O2 firmware. Can I have firmware modified to enable 4G/Wi-Fi calling?

@M15 is just plain wrong. There is specific O2 firmware required for 4G/ Wi-Fi calling, so the reply was of no help.

If you checked the link that @MI5 provided @paul1675, then the only phone listed that needs o2 firmware is the J3.
In this respect we can only go on what is on the o2 website.
If you are unable to use WiFi or 4G calling, then the first thing to do would be to follow the instructions in the o2 guide as above.
If you have done that and it does not work you would need to contact customer services.
