It must be upsetting and annoying. However you have two choices really. Keep your phone number as you don't want to change it, and block the unwanted numbers when they call again. Be warned though, they will change a digit and continue getting through.
Or you could take @Bambino's advice and have your number changed. You are allowed one change free of charge.
I know what I would choose to do and I've had my number for 15 years.

I would block all incoming calls that are not in your contact list for a few days. That way you keep your number and see if the calls stop. The only downside to this is if you are expecting any important calls over that few days.
