I use a windows phone, it lets me know when there are any updates to any apps. However while connected to 02 wifi it wont let me update the app.

Miscrosoft account not available

Switch to data and it works fine

Why is this?

Makes you wonder why people come to an 02 forum, when they don't support 02 ?

Strange comment, you don't have to agree with everything that O2 do in order to post here.

I haven't seen any criticism of O2 in ths thread but it is allowed.

I don't know why you are making such a mountain out of this, nobody said that you had to!

You made an incorrect assumption and were given the correct information.

The only thing your doing is preventing someone from helping with my problem by taking this topic off subject with your remarks, so go and annoy someone else!

Not true, you did this yourself with the incorrect information in post 6 on the first page of this thread.

You have been posting incorrect information in various threads on the forum, so people will pick these up and correct them.

You do not have the right to dictate who responds to your posts, so keep the facts right and you'll be ok.

Being rude to other forum users is not going to help.

If you think o2wifi is the issue then contact o2 directly as we are only customers here ring your normal customer service number to resolve the issue.

If you test it elsewhere at one of the other free wifi providers you will have amunition that o2wifi is at fault

Guys,

Please keep this discussion on-topic and constructive, as there's lots of really helpful posts here and I would hate to have to close it.

Cheers, Toby

Update, finally 02 further up the ladder, tell me that any hotspot, including 02 cannot be used to download apps, watch moves, etc etc else people would sit there all day doing it.

So these servers are blocked

Sep 2013

Rather strange why TOS says there is a 10Gb/Month limit, and so you would think you could sit there watching movies until the 10Gb is used up.

I don't know which terms you were reading but the limit for O2 Wi-Fi isn't 30Gb, it's 10Gb per month:
